What would you like to do on diet cheat days? If it’s up to me, I would make dishes that have cheese, like last time I enjoyed my cheat day with cheese sticks. I know food like this could lead to gaining weight, but once a time is okay. 

I started eating these sticks after my last lunch with my friend at Amber’s Restaurant. These crunchy sticks are served as appetizers in Amber restaurant, and I’ve been craving this since that day.

Why I Like Cheese Sticks So Much?

There are a few things I like most about the cheese stick. The crunchy top, creamy filling, dipping sauce, and the combo of my favorite tetra juice. They all can make anyone’s day better! 

Crunchy Exterior:

The first reason I like these sticks so much is the crunchy exterior. It’s made with the coating of eggs, and breadcrumbs on cheese sticks wrapped in lumpia wrappers.

The second reason for liking these sticks is the taste. They instantly melt into the mouth after the first bite.

Key-Ingredients:

  • 1 pound block of cheese (two blocks for one cheese stick)
  • 12 egg wrappers (lumpia wrapper)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Cooking Instructions:

  1. The cooking process is pretty simple, just start with placing the block of cheese on a stable and clean surface. Then cut them into sticks, the sticks shouldn’t be too thick, or too thin just medium like 6 inches long and less than 1 inch in diameter.
  2. After cutting the cheese, place the lumpia wrapper on the kitchen counter and put two sticks together horizontally. 
  3. Remember to place the sticks at the end of the lumpia wrapper. Roll the wrapper once and fold it from the side, so they don’t fall out. After folding the sides, roll the lumpia wrapper again to the other end and seal it with water or by using egg white.
  4. Don’t forget to add the remaining water and salt to the eggs and mix them well. This will be used for coating.
  5. The last and most important part, dip the cheese sticks first in the egg then in the bread crumbs, and fry for 3 to 5 minutes at low heat till they become golden brown. 
  6. For dipping sauce, mix mayonnaise and ketchup in equal quantity. Enjoy yummy snacks with your family!
