Spaghetti with Meat Sauce Recipe
Spaghetti with meat sauce is famous for its meaty flavor and also because it’s an easy-to-cook dish. One can cook the sauce and freeze it to save time for next time. You can simply heat the frozen sauce whenever you feel a craving for the dish and add it to the spaghetti or pasta. Hence this will only take a few minutes to prepare.

Ingredients
1 package (500g) spaghetti or other pasta of your choice
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons tomato paste
22 oz (625g) tomato sauce
600 ml water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 bunch parsley, chopped
1½ teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a large pan, add ground beef, and cook it on high heat until the beef is brown. Stir occasionally.
- Add chopped onion, red/green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes stirring occasionally or until they all are soft. Try to cut the cubes of onion and bell pepper while chopping to give the sauce its signature texture.
- Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add 22oz (625g) of tomato sauce and mix well. Add 600ml of water or the tomato can full of water to the pan and stir well.
- Leave the pan on the stove to bring it to a boil and reduce the heat to low after boiling. Now simmer for about 40 minutes on low heat or until thickened while stirring occasionally.
- Add salt, black pepper, and dried oregano and stir to mix well.
- Now add chopped parsley to the sauce and stir. Turn off the heat.
- In a large pot of water, add salt and bring to a boil.
- Now add pasta to the water and cook it according to the package instructions.
- When ready, extract the pasta from a plate and serve the sauce over the pasta
- Sprinkle-grated Parmesan cheese and enjoy the delicious dish.
